PROGRAM

1. DAY: Airport Ljubljana – Ljubljana city

Arrival to Ljubljana International Airport, meet and welcome by Exoterra Adria representative/guide at the airport arrival lobby. Transfer from Airport to Ljubljana city (pick up on the other airports-at the extra charge).

Accommodation in selected hotel and free time for relax and experience a little bit of the capital on your first evening in Slovenia.

Dinner and overnight in hotel in Ljubljana.

2. DAY: Ljubljana

Breakfast at hotel. In the morning you will explore the capital city Ljubljana with local guide. You will ride the funicular to the Ljubljana Castle (the grand castle overlooking the city). On the back to the city you could ride the touristic train which will take you to the city centre, where you could explore few interesting things of Ljubljana, including dragon Bridge, Triple Bridge and walk a long the banks of the Ljubljanica. You can also board on the boat and have a relaxing drive along the river (optional).

After city tour you will have free time for lunch (supplement), and then you will visit the city ZOO.

Free late afternoon and evening. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Ljubljana.

3. DAY: Ljubljana – Postojna – Lipica – Ljubljana

Breakfast at hotel. On this day we take you to the biggest and worldwide known Slovenian cave system - the Postojna caves. A two million years old and 21 km long system of subterranean caves is one of the most easily accessible network of underground caves in the world. A ride by electrical train will be followed by a guided walk through a series of cave halls with drop stones, pillars and translucent curtains that create unforgettable impressions. The underworld system is a home of the mysterious, unique and rare amphibian Proteus Anguinus, or human fish as it is popularly called here.

You will visit also one of the most interesting baroque castles of Slovenia, the Predjama castle, only 9 km away from Postojna cave. It hangs dramatically in the middle of 123 m high rocky cliff and offers a scenic view.

In the afternoon we will take you to the Lipica stud farm, one of the oldest stud farms in the world and home to the white Lipizzaner horses. The stud farm was also one of the sights visited by Her Majesty Queen Elisabeth II during her stay in Slovenia. At the farm, its possible be able to attend training sessions of the classical Lipizzaner riding school and in also on special days its possible to see one of their elegant riding shows (Tuesday and Sunday). You could also take a carriage ride or visit museum of Lipica stud (supplement).

Return to Ljubljana. Free evening. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Ljubljana.

4. DAY: Ljubljana – Novo Mesto – Čatež

Breakfast at hotel. Drive towards picturesque town Novo mesto, where we stop for a short walk tour around old town centre. We continue the journey over Dolenjska region and stop at famous and very beautiful castle Otočec, situated in the middle of Krka river, for photo stop and possible lunch (supplement).

After free time, drive to Čatež spa resort and accommodation in special accommodation:

You can chose to stay in Indian Village, which will bring you closer the blue skies and take you back to the picturesque world of ancient Indian tribes, or Pirates Bay, where you can stay at bungalows built over the lake.

Free afternoon at leisure. Possibility of using different spa facilities or just swim in numerous mineral water swimming pools with artificial waves, waterfalls etc.

Dinner and overnight in Čatež.

5. -6. DAY: Čatež - Holidays

You will have 2 free days for individual free time and relaxation.

Breakfast, dinner and overnight in Ćatež.

We suggest you to spend the time in one of suggested activities in Terme Čatež:

- boat over the lake in canoes,

- dance Indian dances

- visit the Thermal Riviera

- Sail on a pirate ship and find the pirate's treasure

- from the Pirate's island discover the water attractions of the Summer Thermal Riviera - toboggans, lazy river, children's water park...

7.DAY: Čatež – Ljubljana

Airport Breakfast in hotel. Transfer from hotel to the airport of Ljubljana (or to other airport at extra charge).

End of services.
