We will road towards the karstic region of Slovenia. Our first stop will be at the intermittent (disappearing) lake of Cerknica with most romantic landscape around it. Presentation of this natural phenomenon in the village museum (supplement). Drive through the regional park Rakov Škocjan with wild subterranean rivers, natural bridges, water falls…. We will arrival to Idrija, the town which developed due to its former quick silver mine, which we will also visit. The town is famous for manufacturing an original sort of white laces. The life of miners and their wives will be presented to us through the collections of the museum in the castle. If there will be time, you can visit also Lace Manufacturing School which the very manufacturing of laces will be shown to you (supplement) and where it is also possible to buy the products. Between tour you will have also enough free time to walk around old center, drink a a well known alcoholic drink among miners was mugwort liqueur, locally known as geruš or eat typical local food called žlikrofi.
