PROGRAM:
1. DAY: Airport Ljubljana – Ljubljana city

Arrival to Ljubljana International Airport, meet and welcome by Exoterra Adria representative/guide at the airport arrival lobby. Transfer from Airport to Ljubljana city (pick up on the other airports-at the extra charge). Accommodation in selected hotel and free time for relax and experience a little bit of the capital on your first evening in Slovenia. Overnight in hotel in Ljubljana.

2. DAY: Ljubljana

Breakfast at hotel. On your tour you will see most of the attractions in the city centre including the Parliament building, Republic square, Opera house, National Gallery, Orthodox Church, the Triple Bridge, Town Hall, Cathedral, open market, Prešeren square, Open Air theatre, Congress square, Cooperative Bank, Dragon bridge... The most distinctive feature of Slovenia 's largest city is its medieval hilltop Castle which offers a breathtaking panorama of the city together with excellent views of the old town and surrounding area, which you will admire also you…

3. DAY: Ljubljana – Bled – Ljubljana

You will spend the day in one of the most romantic places in Slovenia – Bled Lake. Bled's major attractions are a lake of glacial origin with an island in the middle and a castle which history dates back to the 1th century. At Mlino port you will board traditional pletna boat and ride to the Bled Island and back. On the island you can visit Church of St. Mary and ring its bell for good luck. You will take romantic carriage ride to the Bled Castle and enjoy beautiful panoramic view of Bled lake, you can visit the castle museum, herbal shop, printing shop etc.

Free time for lunch (supplement), when you could try one of the typical dishes in Gorenjska - the lakes and mountains region: "zganci"- these groats made of buckwheat, barley or corn. You can also try different soups, štruklji and of course-famous kremšnita, well known as a vanilla-and-cream cake served as a local speciality.

After free time we will be transferred back to Ljubljana and free time for relax.

4. DAY: Ljubljana – Postojna – Lipica – Portorož

Breakfast at hotel. We will start our tour in the morning, when we will take you to the biggest and worldwide known Slovenian cave system - the Postojna caves. A two million years old and 21 km long system of subterranean caves is one of the most easily accessible network of underground caves in the world. A ride by electrical train will be followed by a guided walk through a series of cave halls with drop stones, pillars and translucent curtains that create unforgettable impressions. The underworld system is a home of the mysterious, unique and rare amphibian Proteus Anguinus, or human fish as it is popularly called here.

We will visit also one of the most interesting baroque castles of Slovenia, the Predjama castle, only 9 km away from Postojna cave. It hangs dramatically in the middle of 123 m high rocky cliff and offers a scenic view.

In the afternoon we will proceed to the Lipica stud farm, one of the oldest stud farms in the world and home to the white Lipizzaner horses. The stud farm was also one of the sights visited by Her Majesty Queen Elisabeth II during her stay in Slovenia. At the farm, its possible be able to attend training sessions of the classical Lipizzaner riding school and in also on special days its possible to see one of their elegant riding shows (Tuesday and Sunday). We recommend you to take carriage ride around stud Lipica (supplement).

We finish the tour in one of typical Karst wine cellars with wine and the famous Karst dried ham tasting. Transfer to the hotel in Slovenian coast and overnight.

5. DAY: Portorož

You will have free day in Portorož, which you can spend on the beach (in summer) or in swimming in heated pools (in winter), maybe take relaxing massage for couples in wellness center, or go for a walk along Slovenian coast.

6. DAY: Portorož– Sečovlje – Piran − Portorož

This day you will explore Slovenian coast, starting with the salt field’s museum in Sečovlje where during the »harvest« season you can still see how salt was traditionally picked here. In Sečovlje Salina Nature Park you will get acquainted with the rich tradition of sea-salt harvesting in Slovenia.

Afterwards we will visit the picturesque coastal town of Piran where you could have fish lunch in local restaurant (supplement). This old town with its narrow streets, beautiful Tartini square and the St. George's church which dominates the hill above the town, will nest in your heart for a long time.

On the tour we will visit also oil factory and have degustation of olive oil. After sightseeing we will return to Portorož and have free time for relax at your own choise.

7. DAY: Portorož (-Venice)

Free day for relax at your own choice.

We suggest you to spend it in one of the most romantic cities in the world – in Venice! We can arrange you day trip by the road or by the sea with catamaran in summer time (supplement).
