PROGRAM

1. DAY: Airport Ljubljana – Ljubljana city

Arrival to Ljubljana International Airport, meet and welcome by Exoterra Adria representative/guide at the airport arrival lobby. Transfer from Airport to Ljubljana city (pick up on the other airports-at the extra charge).

Accommodation in selected hotel and free time for relax and experience a little bit of the capital on your first evening in Slovenia.

Dinner and overnight in hotel in Ljubljana.

2. DAY: Ljubljana

Breakfast at hotel. In the morning you will explore the capital city Ljubljana with local guide. You will ride the funicular to the Ljubljana Castle (the grand castle overlooking the city). On the back to the city you could ride the touristic train which will take you to the city centre, where you could explore few interesting things of Ljubljana, including dragon Bridge, Triple Bridge and walk a long the banks of the Ljubljanica.

You can also board on the boat and have a relaxing drive along the river (optional).

After city tour you will have free time for lunch (supplement), and then you will visit the city ZOO. Free late afternoon and evening.

3. DAY: Ljubljana – Postojna – Lipica – Ljubljana

Breakfast at hotel. On this day we take you to the biggest and worldwide known Slovenian cave system - the Postojna caves. A two million years old and 21 km long system of subterranean caves is one of the most easily accessible network of underground caves in the world. A ride by electrical train will be followed by a guided walk through a series of cave halls with drop stones, pillars and translucent curtains that create unforgettable impressions. The underworld system is a home of the mysterious, unique and rare amphibian Proteus Anguinus, or human fish as it is popularly called here.

You will visit also one of the most interesting baroque castles of Slovenia, the Predjama castle, only 9 km away from Postojna cave. It hangs dramatically in the middle of 123 m high rocky cliff and offers a scenic view. In

the afternoon we will take you to the Lipica stud farm, one of the oldest stud farms in the world and home to the white Lipizzaner horses. The stud farm was also one of the sights visited by Her Majesty Queen Elisabeth II during her stay in Slovenia. At the farm, its possible be able to attend training sessions of the classical Lipizzaner riding school and in also on special days its possible to see one of their elegant riding shows (Tuesday and Sunday). You could also take a carriage ride or visit museum of Lipica stud (supplement). Return to Ljubljana.

4. DAY: Ljubljana – Bled

Breakfast at hotel. We will start our tour in the morning with transfer from Ljubljana to famous Bled's Lake, where we will board traditional pletna boat and ride to Bled Island in the middle of the lake. There you can visit Church of St. Mary and ring its bell for good luck. Return back and some free time, when you can try famous sweet “kremšnita”, well known as a vanilla-and-cream cake served as a local speciality. Continue to visit Bled Castle and enjoy beautiful panoramic view of Bled lake.

In the afternoon you could spend your time in Family Adventure Park near Bled, fun and unique challenge for the whole family. Transfer to hotel, check-in, dinner and overnight.

5. DAY: Bled – Bohinj – Bled

Breakfast at hotel. In the morning we will proceed to the largest glacier lake in Slovenia- Bohinj Lake, situated in the region of the Julian Alps mountain range, with the highest Slovene peak (Mt.Triglav) rising above it. After a 15-minute-walk we will reach waterfally Savica, the source of the Sava Bohinjka River. You will have also enough free time to spend by yourself and to relax at the side of the peaceful Bohinj Lake or Bled Lake.

We suggest you few family summer activities in Bohinj:

- you can take short walk around the lake

- canoeing on the lake

- rent a bike

- hiking

- riding horses

- paintball

We suggest you few family summer activities in Bled:

- light trekking in Bled Vintgar Gorge

- swimming in lake

- carriage ride around the lake

- touristic train ride around the lake

- summer tobogganing

Late afternoon return to hotel. Dinner and overnight.

4. DAY: Bled - Kranjska Gora – pass Vršič – Trenta Valley – Bovec

Breakfast at hotel. We will depart quite early and the first stop on our bus journey will be Kranjska Gora, a renowned winter resort and ski center, but also a trekking and mountaineering paradise during the summer. There we will start a scenic ride to pass Vršič, 1600 m high, from where we will be able to admire some of the highest mountain peaks of Slovenia. You could have also a snack in a cottage on the Vršič pass.

Then we will pass the spring of the emerald Soča river and get to the Trenta valley. Be conscious of the climate here because it is totally different from what you had experienced the previous day in Bohinj, though you can see high mountains all around you. The valley is open towards the Adriatic sea and the warm Mediterranean breezes give this valley a very special character. We will arrive to Bovec, our final stop of this day.

In the afternoon you will take a rafting along the river Soča. The rafting professionals will guide you down the legendary Soča, one of the most beautiful rivers in the world, resulting in a wonderfully unforgettable experience for whole family!

7.DAY: Bovec – Ljubljana Airport

Breakfast in hotel. Free time till departure. Transfer from hotel to the airport of Ljubljana (or to other airport at extra charge).
