Slovene has some excellent wines although they are relatively unknown outside the country. The best way to explore them is by following a wine trail (vinske ceste) through one of the three distinct wine producing regions and stopping at some of the many wine cellars. These routes are signposted throughout the wine regions and will illustrate the entire noble wine-growing and culinary traditions.
